FR. ALIA MARKS 32 YEARS AS CATHOLIC PRIEST, CALLS FOR SUSTAINED PRAYERS FOR IDPs, POOR MASSES

The APC candidate for the 2023 Benue gubernatorial election Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has called for sustained prayers for the Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) and the poor masses of Benue State as he marks 32 years as a Catholic Priest. On this day of his 32nd anniversary of ordination to the priesthood, Fr. Alia gives thanks to God for choosing and annointing him to be His servant, sharing in the priesthood of Jesus Christ at the service of the people of God. He expressed his sincere gratitude to God for making him an instrument of divine grace in administering the sacraments, and leading him with His merciful hand to be where he is today. While offering prayers to God for a gift of fidelity and perseverance, Fr. Benue Born Catholic Priest Killed by Fulani Terrorists Buried Amist Tears and Protest in Kaduna

The victim, who until his death was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community at Kaduna Polytechnic, was killed on his farm at Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. At the event held at the Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, the Archbishop of Kaduna Archdiocese most Reverend Mathew Ndagoso lamented the rising insecurity in the country. The Archbishop expressed a deep sober concern that Nigeria has become a failed state where the killing of innocent souls is rather been celebrated with impunity. The Arch clergy blamed the federal government for her docile and conspiracy of silence about the killings of Christians and incessant attacks on the church in Nigeria. He pledged Christians to remained steadfast and Prayerful in the face of persecution saying, the battle is of the lord alone who is the creator of all.
