Seven -Goats-Squad Man Arrested In Kastina-Ala

There was confusion earlier today in Katsina-ala as police arrested a 49-year old man,   with seven goats at Central Primary School Katsina-ala while traveling to Zaki-Biam on foot.

The man, who identified himself as Tyowase Akaazua said he hails from Mbagba in Ushongu local government area of Benue state but moved to Mbagen in Buruku local government area where he has embarked on the trip to Zaki-Biam with the goats.

Asked if he has a friend or relative in Zaki-Biam and what he plans to do with the goats in Zaki-Biam, he said that he was going to Zaki-Biam because his god of unquenchable fire has directed him to take the goats to Zaki-Biam where they will be kept without giving further details.

He further disclosed that the goats were given to him by his god on 25th March 2021 and are not meant to be sold, as his responsibility is to take care of the goats to breed.

The mayor of Katsina-ala market, Zaki Msugh Ukua, who interrogated the man at his office at Akume Atongu Stadium in Katsina-ala said since no one has reported to his office of missing goats, he will hand over the man to the police for further investigation.

Some residents of Katsina-ala who were out in their numbers to steal looks at the man and his goats alleged that the goats are bodies been transported to Taraba state for sale.

Those who spoke on condition of anonymity said the man was earlier sent away from Mbagba in Ushongu local government area with the goats by his kinsmen for practicing witchcrafts and magic.

The mystery that is left unexplained is the manner in which the goats followed Mr. Tyowase Akaazua from Mbagen in Buruku local government area without been dragged along throughout the journey.
