Benue Born Oral Poet Turn Evangelist Obadia Okor Suffers Prostate Cancer, Appeals For Help



Popular Tiv oral poet, Evangelist Obadiah Okor has been diagnosed with prostate cancer disease.

The Benue State indigene Evangelist has, however cried out for help.

He said he has been admitted at Benue state Teaching Hospital Makurdi,Benue State. adding that the funds provided to him by the Governor of Benue state Chief Samuel ortom is what has sustained him till now.

According to Chief Tahav Agerzua  there is an initiative to raise funds in support of his further medical care.
    
He also stated that Evangelist Obadiah Okor  described the initiative as a good development.
He said;
"The Bible states that all good comes from God, therefore, whoever does good produces fruit for God's consumption," adding that such people will reap the seed sowed just like "he who pumps a bicycle rides it."

The legend stated that although Dr Sylvester Atachin visited him and hinted that Professor Terhemba Shija was spearheading such an initiative, he could not link what was initially posted on the social media to what had been mentioned because Shija's name was not in the post.

"When my attention was drawn to the post I thought it was 419 and I told my son to shut it down but by daybreak I was made to realize that the unsolicited initiative is a product of genuine love and I appreciate immensely," he stressed.

"Professor Shija and Bartholomew Bede, someone from inside my house, have also briefed me."

Diagnosis has indicated that Evangelist Obadiah Orkor is suffering from prostate cancer.

Benue Born Catholic Priest Killed by Fulani Terrorists Buried Amist Tears and Protest in Kaduna

The victim,  who until his death was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community at Kaduna Polytechnic, was killed on his farm at Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. At the event held at the Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, the Archbishop of Kaduna Archdiocese most Reverend Mathew Ndagoso lamented the rising insecurity in the country. The Archbishop expressed a deep sober concern that Nigeria has become a failed state where the killing of innocent souls is rather been  celebrated with impunity. The Arch clergy blamed the federal government for her docile and conspiracy of silence  about the killings of Christians and incessant attacks on the church in Nigeria. He pledged Christians to remained  steadfast and Prayerful in the face of persecution saying, the battle is of the lord alone who is the creator of all.
