We are Set to Manufacture Our Own Vehicles, Weapons, Aircraft- Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has said that the relentless drive, energy and creativity of young Nigerians, is the guarantee that the country will prosper and provide jobs and opportunities for the millions of youths coming into the job market yearly.

Prof. Osinbajo stated this on Monday evening at the 5th National Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Awards Dinner held at the State House Old Banquet Hall.

Praising the steadfastness and contributions of young entrepreneurs that won prizes at the event, the Vice President in a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande, noted that “these MSMEs tell the story of our country’s great economic future.”

According to him, “we are set to manufacture our own vehicles, clean energy trucks and cars, and we are on course to manufacturing our own weapons, armoured mobile platforms and aircraft. We have all it takes.”

Making specific reference to prospects in the manufacturing and technology sectors, the Vice President noted: “I believe that MSMEs in technology and manufacturing especially in the clean energy or green economy deserve special mention. I am convinced that this sector will be crucial in global industrial development in the coming years and will leapfrog Nigeria to economic prosperity," he assured.

Benue Born Catholic Priest Killed by Fulani Terrorists Buried Amist Tears and Protest in Kaduna

The victim,  who until his death was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community at Kaduna Polytechnic, was killed on his farm at Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. At the event held at the Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, the Archbishop of Kaduna Archdiocese most Reverend Mathew Ndagoso lamented the rising insecurity in the country. The Archbishop expressed a deep sober concern that Nigeria has become a failed state where the killing of innocent souls is rather been  celebrated with impunity. The Arch clergy blamed the federal government for her docile and conspiracy of silence  about the killings of Christians and incessant attacks on the church in Nigeria. He pledged Christians to remained  steadfast and Prayerful in the face of persecution saying, the battle is of the lord alone who is the creator of all.
