Media aids must know that they have lost their voices and personal opinions on public issues. That is the sacrifice that goes with the job. This is because your comment(s) on public issues is/are attributed to your boss.
Another aspect of it is that, your boss must authorized everything you present for public consumption. Even your choice of words while writing must reflect the personality of your boss. It's about the image and opinions of your boss not you.
Overtime, media aids in Benue State have metamorphosed from intimating the general public on the activities and feelings of their bosses on public issues to insults and abuses on people's personalities. It is a very difficult situation to understand because every one wonders if it is their bosses that direct such insults or it is the opinions of such media aids.
Today, media aid is no longer a cherish job that is meant for intellectuals with high classes of university degrees and writers. It is about who acquires wide range of vulgar vocabularies and disrespect to people's views.
Bosses must therefore checkmate what their media aids put out for public consumption. The general public too must distinguish between overzealous attention seekers and media thugs from genuine media aids. Media aids too must know their responsibilities to their bosses and the general public. Any media aid that goes against the tenants of his/her job should be warned, redirected and consequently sack if the shabby outing persist.
